Welcome to Skagit BigFoot Fest, the ultimate destination for Bigfoot enthusiasts and lovers of local business, art, and music. Our mission is simple - to be the good and bring diversity and inclusion to our area in fun way!
Skagit BigFoot Fest is a Bigfoot Music and Vendor Festival that offers a unique and entertaining experience for attendees. Our team is led by Owner and CEO Marla Chapa, along with Event Coordinators Clarissa De Vires, Karina Vega, Event and Vendor Coordinator Lesley Kratzer, our PR Agent Tina Kies, Food Vendor Coordinator Rick Donovan. We also have a dedicated volunteer committee that helps us organize all the different aspects that go into putting on an event of this size. If you're interested in our volunteer coordinators committee shoot us a message on the "Get Involved" tab!
Our journey started with a brilliant idea from Marla, who wanted to host a Bigfoot-themed event for her networking group, the Skagit Social. During a workout session with Alex at Healthy Badass Fitness www.healthybadassfitness.com the two came up with the idea of "Keep Skagit Wild," a movement similar to "Keep Austin Weird" but for Skagit Valley. Marla paired this idea with the Bigfoot event concept to create Skagit BigFoot Fest. In 2022, we held our inaugural event, which was a huge success in spite of the 6 week time crunch to plan. With over 40 local vendors, 15 performances, and multiple food vendors, we had between 300 and 500 attendees. We are already making headway for this year to be an exponential improvement.
What sets Skagit BigFoot Fest apart is our innovative ideas and the inspiration we take from other areas. Our team is full of diverse individuals who all bring a unique and interesting perspective to our event. We aim to create an experience that is both original and memorable.
Our vision for the future is to put our community on the map for more than the gorgeous tulips in the spring. We hope to help build a stronger sense of community and improve the local economy while providing a fun event for all ages. We have already made massive improvements to this years event and expect it to become a staple within our community.
Join us for the next Skagit BigFoot Fest and be a part of our mission to #KeepSkagitWild and support local businesses. Thank you for choosing Skagit BigFoot Fest, and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
Cheers!
